Fast Company Names TBWAWorldwide to the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies List
OMD Worldwide Recognized as Global Media Agency of the Year by Adweek Magazine
NEW YORK, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) agencies TBWAWorldwide and OMD Worldwide took top honors from Fast Company and Adweek magazines, respectively, this month.
TBWAWorldwide is one of only three marketing communications companies on the Fast Company list of the “World’s Innovative Companies,” which also includes Team Obama, Google, Hulu, Apple, Facebook and Disney.
Fast Company ranked TBWA 24th on the list, which appears in the publication’s March issue and recognizes selected companies that illustrate “the power and potential of innovative ideas and creative execution…the kinds of enterprises that will redefine our future and point the way to a better tomorrow.”
In voting OMD Worldwide Global Media Agency of the Year, the editors of Adweek noted the Omnicom agency “forged a leaner, more powerful operation that steamrolled through 2008.” Adweek credited both “a huge investment in technology that enabled OMD to develop its new Business Intelligence dashboard system” and client expansion as major factors behind the win.
